Let’s book a free discovery call/chemistry meeting. This is an informal opportunity to find out more and how we might best work together. There is no set format for the call – it is likely to be around 30 minutes. We will probably explore your:

  • Development needs
  • Ambitions and goals
  • Problems and issues

Plus anything else that might be relevant in your working and personal life. We will agree how many coaching sessions you would like and the fees. There is no set format as everyone is different. Maybe three sessions are perfect for you or maybe more! We will also discuss:
  • boundaries of confidentiality and the written agreement
  • the difference between coaching, counselling and therapy
  • evaluation approach and personal return on investment
  • stakeholder needs and your wider context.

What happens next? I will send you a comprehensive written coaching agreement to sign and return. You can opt for just one session and see how you get on or invest in a programme of coaching – either is fine. We will book your first coaching session and then I will send you an optional document to help you reflect and prepare.

The first session will probably last 90 minutes and after that, coaching sessions are typically an hour. We will probably work virtually on Zoom or Microsoft Teams and sessions can be recorded if you wish. If geography allows we can meet face to face in your workplace or go for a walk. We will both take notes and I might send you handouts or reading recommendations afterwards.

Tools and approaches – You will experience a variety of approaches. Sometimes coaching is reflective and thoughtful and sometimes is it pragmatic and structured. You are unique and so is the way that I support you. We might …

  • use leadership models and frameworks for reflection
  • draw upon neuroscience and approaches from positive psychology
  • use NLP coaching tools that you can take away and adapt for use at work or home
  • explore behavioural, personality or leadership styles by using profiling tools
  • work on an action plan with clear objectives and targets
  • play with coaching cards and metaphors

Your thinking space will be unique.

I am comfortable with a slow pace or a fast pace. A clear focus or ambiguity. Problems, issues and goals.

I will support you to be at your best. I will challenge you and nurture you. I will be compassionate and non-judgemental.

Common coaching topics include:

  • work-life balance
  • relationships at work
  • career development and aspirations
  • starting new role – the first few weeks
  • returning after a career break
  • imposter syndrome
  • effective working relationships
  • leadership vision and mission
  • retirement plans
  • starting a new business or side-hustle
  • confidence and resilience

Plus much more!

Testimonials - be inspired to fulfil your potential

5/5

“After a period of unhappiness, low self-esteem and low confidence, I was able to use the coaching with Clare to create coping mechanisms and find the confidence take on a difficult challenge. I was able to deal with issues at work and maintain a healthy work-life balance.”

“I was offered coaching by my organisation following a promotion to senior leadership which involved a large jump up the ladder with little preparation. Coaching with Clare has been unbelievably valuable. External coaching was offered to stretch and support me in my new role with confidentiality and without judgement. After three sessions, Clare’s coaching has massively guided my thinking. I reflect on our coaching sessions as a turning point – therefore once again thank you for the challenge and encouragement.”
