"Learning is not attained by chance.
It must be sought for with ardor and attended to with diligence."

Abigail Adams

Supervision

Individual and group supervision sessions are both available.

I qualified as a supervisor with Henley Business School (University of Reading) and I am also an accredited supervisor with the EMCC. I work in the UK and beyond, with clients in Australia, the United States and the Middle East.

In addition to 1:1 supervision, you have the option to join a closed supervision group. These are set up with a maximum of four coaches and initially offer three sessions (2 hours each) bi-monthly. Dates are mutually agreed by the group. There will be a new group starting shortly, so if you’d like to apply, just get in touch with me and I will be able to answer your questions and provide further information.

Supervision takes place by  Zoom or Teams and typically lasts an hour. Wherever you are in the world, just get in touch to find out more about my approach to supervision and how I can support you in your coaching practice.

Packages are available, plus one-off supervision sessions.

I also provide 1:1 and group supervision for workplace coaches and in-house coaching pools.

Additional benefits – included in your supervision package will be a pack of my coaching cards, copies of my three coaching books and on-line access to Coaching at Work magazine. I can also offer you one year’s free membership of the Association for Coaching (if you’re not a member already).

Choice of supervision & CPD packages

  • One-off supervision
  • A package of three supervision sessions
  • Add a CPD package to either of the above, with access to virtual workshops (live or recorded)

What happens next? I will send you a comprehensive written supervision agreement to sign and return. You can opt for just one session and see how you get on or invest in a programme of supervision with extra CPD – either is fine. We will book your first supervsion session and then I will send you an optional document to help you reflect and prepare.

The first session will probably last 90 minutes and after that, supervision sessions are typically an hour. We will probably work virtually on Zoom or Microsoft Teams and sessions can be recorded if you wish. We will both take notes and I might send you handouts or reading recommendations afterwards.

Tools and approaches – You will experience a variety of approaches. Sometimes supervsion is reflective and thoughtful and sometimes is it pragmatic and structured. You are unique and so is the way that I support you. We might use models and frameworks for reflection, such as:

  • The three functions – formative, normative and restorative (Proctor)
  • The 7-eyed Model (Hawkins & Shohet)
  • The 7 Conversations (Clutterbuck)
  • Coaching Maturity Model (Clutterbuck)

I will also draw upon a range of reflective approaches to help you explore your coaching relationships, habits, strengths, patterns and professional practice.

Your thinking space will be unique. I will support you to be at your best. I will challenge you and nurture you. I will be compassionate and non-judgemental.

Meet Nell - the Supervision Spaniel

Let me introduce you to Nell – the supervision spaniel. Nell brings an added dimension to supervision and coaching sessions in the great outdoors – full of joy and bounce and you can’t help but smile when in her company – she is non-judgemental and you don’t need to worry about confidentiality – her listening skills are slightly dodgy however and her questions are hopeless, so that is where I come in! If you would love to walk, and get some fresh air, just get in touch for supervision or executive coaching in nature – we are based in central Wiltshire and we’re both happy to jump in the car to meet you a bit further afield.

It’s optional to bring a ball for Nell, but if you do, she will be your friend forever!

“Clare’s calm demeanour is reassuring in supervision and she is able to bring her years of experience to ask the right question at the right time. Clare has been really helpful when exploring tricky coaching cases through her ability to help you think through things for yourself – she only offers input when you really need it. I never felt judged and always felt able to explore whatever issue I was facing with Clare safely.”

“Clare is excellent at her own CPD and is generous in sharing her insights and resources with those that she supervises.”
